Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or buy from us, why we use it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

What we collect

  • Contact and delivery details: name, address, email and phone number.
  • Order details: what you bought, prices, payment status and delivery information. We do not receive your full card details.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your login and order history.
  • Messages: emails and chat messages you send us.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and the cookies described below.

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To process and deliver your order, take payment and handle returns and warranty claims: necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep accounting and tax records: a legal obligation. Dutch law requires us to keep these records for seven years.
  • To answer your questions: to perform our contract, or our legitimate interest in helping you.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the website secure: our legitimate interest.
  • To send newsletters or offers: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the link in each email.

Who we share it with

We share only what each party needs to do its job: our hosting provider, our payment provider, delivery companies and suppliers who ship your order directly, our email provider, and our live chat provider if you use the chat. They process your data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we make sure there is a legal safeguard in place, such as an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for seven years to meet our tax obligations. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your question and any follow-up.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the shop, such as remembering your cart, your language and that you are logged in. These do not need consent. Any other cookies, such as for statistics, marketing or live chat, are only set after you agree to them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@techstoreeurope.com and we will respond within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the authority in the EU country where you live.

Security and children

We protect your data with encryption in transit and access controls. This website is not intended for children under 16.
